Using BCC in Large Scale Events (The story of Pan Am Games)

In July 2015, the city of Toronto received the Pan American Games, the world’s third largest international multi-sport Games.
During this event, almost 7 000 athletes competed across the city. Tens of thousands spectators assisted to these sport competitions.

To ensure communications during the event, our client employed Base Camp Connect in its mobile command post.
During such major events, we often observe overloaded mobile networks, preventing emergency services to use this communication channel. This is why Base Camp Connect relies on several telecommunication technologies, to ensure continuous communications even if one of these technologies becomes unavailable for any reason.

Base Camp Connect is the only transportable, user-deployable communication system making true interoperability possible between existing voice, data and radio equipment/technology in a 5 minute setup.
